For whom

Women ready to return to themselves

Quiet the noise.

Hear your own voice.

Trust what you know.

You’re high-functioning, intuitive and capable.

But you have spent so much time listening to everyone and everything outside of you that you have lost connection with your own knowing.

You might notice that you are:

  • Lacking trust in your own voice: Drowning in family expectations, social media noise, and everyone else’s opinions until you can't hear what you want.
  • Over-riding your boundaries in relationships: Over-functioning, pleasing others, and prioritizing everyone else's comfort until you’ve bypassed your own needs.
  • Trapped in overthinking & mental loops: Trying to logic your way through boundary choices, relationship anxiety, and major decisions instead of trusting what your body already knows.
  • Guided by a loud inner critic: Living in high-functioning perfectionism and hyper-vigilance, rather than feeling safe, relaxed, and anchored in your body.

Deep down, you know life and your relationship with yourself is meant to feel more grounded, easeful, intuitive, and deeply trusted.

But you don't need another self-help book or mental framework to get there.

You need an embodied experience.

Wisdom Beyond Words

Horses are the ultimate relational beings.

They don't care about your explanations, your mental armor, or how well you perform.

Horses are highly attuned to what is happening in the moment. They respond to our presence, body language, energy, and how we show up in relationship.

No riding or prior horse experience is required

Through guided, unmounted experiences with the horses, reflection, and facilitated group work, you will practice slowing down, listening inward, and trusting what you know.

Through your experiences with the horses, you’ll have opportunities to:

  • Quiet the Mental Noise
Step out of overthinking and become more present to what is happening within you.
  • Notice When You Override Your Own Knowing
Become aware of the moments you second-guess yourself, defer to others, or move away from what feels true.
  • Reconnect With What Feels True for You
Use your experiences with the horses to slow down, listen inward, and notice your own responses more clearly.
  • Practice Making Choices Rooted in Self-Trust
Explore what it feels like to listen to yourself and act from your own inner knowing.

Please bring lunch and or snacks! (light refreshments will be offered)

Do I need prior horse experience?

Not at all! This is a ground-based experience (no riding involved) and is completely beginner-friendly. Our focus is on somatic awareness and observing the herd. There will be No riding or mounted work at this event.

Can I bring my kid(s)?

This event is designed for adults 18+

What happens if the weather is bad on October 3rd?

Our venue at Higher Ground Healing offers beautiful sheltered and indoor spaces so we can stay warm and dry while still interacting with the land and horses.

Is this group therapy, or more of an experiential workshop?

While both facilitators (Lexie and Kerry) are licensed mental health professionals, this retreat is an experiential, educational, and somatic personal growth workshop, not clinical group therapy. You will gain deep self-awareness, somatic tools, and co-regulation practices without the pressure of deep personal clinical processing in front of a group.

What is your refund or cancellation policy?

Due to the intimate size and preparation involved in hosting this retreat, tickets are non-refundable.

Want to dive deeper into this work?

Beyond these community open houses, I offer deep-dive 1:1 equine and nature-based therapy, private intensives, and weekend retreats.
